Daryl Williams joins the Rangers Coaching Staff

August 6, 2014, by

In a bit of old news (sorry for being late on this one), the Rangers have hired ex-Vancouver Assistant Coach Daryl Williams to join Alain Vigenault’s coaching staff. Williams will replace the now departed Dan Lacroix, and will likely be AV’s “eye in the sky.”

So, who’s got an informed take on Monsieur Williams?

Williams was Alain Vigneault’s assistant in Vancouver. He has been a coach in Vancouver for the last 6 years. It was thought Williams would follow AV to NY when he was named HC. Management appointed the assistant and associate coaches though. I think Williams will be better in the sky since he knows AV and his strategies so well.
