Metro Division Finals Game 6: Send it back to Pittsburgh

On Friday night, the Rangers played their most complete game of the playoffs since their Game One victory over the Flyers in the last round. They sent a message with their 5-1 victory, but the Penguins received that message loud and clear. You can bet your life savings that they won’t allow that to happen again. But the Rangers are playing desperate hockey, so anything can happen. One game, one period, one shift at a time, and send it back to Pittsburgh.

Justin did an entire breakdown of this series, and it’s great reading if you haven’t done so already. The Rangers will need to find a way to win. I said if they win Game Five, then they will win Game Six and send it back to Pittsburgh. Let’s make me look smart.

Rangers Lines:

Forwards

Chris Kreider-Derek Stepan-Rick Nash
Carl Hagelin-Brad Richards-Martin St. Louis
Benoit Pouliot-Derick Brassard-Mats Zuccarello
Brian Boyle-Dominic Moore-Derek Dorsett

Marc Staal-Anton Stralman
John Moore-Kevin Klein

Henrik Lundqvist gets the start.

Scratches/Injuries: Raphael Diaz (healthy), Ryan Haggerty (healthy), Jesper Fast (healthy) Justin Falk (healthy), J.T. Miller (healthy), Dan Carcillo (healthy)

Nice spear by Crosby. Hope the boys bury Pitts on the PP.

Loved what I saw from the boys, Nash played great. It would be surreal if Nash can win game 7. Glad to see intestinal fortitude is in these boys….Last 2 games they sure have shown it. I do not get why games 2, 3 and 4 they didn’t display that….Go Rangers!!!!

I have to admit it, I never thought they had it in them. All props to that locker room!!! Now, IMO, its all on Hank. This is the moment where he can seal the deal for this team. Going into a hostile building, with a crybaby superstar who will get EVERY call on Tuesday, the team is gonna’ be under pressure from the get go. Hank is gonna have to be rock solid and bail out the inevitable mistakes that will happen. He needs the mindset to pitch a shutout. Its his time to silence the critics who say he can’t win the big one. Cup or no Cup he is the MOST important player on this Team. He needs to show that on Tuesday. Also, would be nice if Nash could possibly chip in with a couple of goals; probably too much to ask. Its gonna be fun!!!!!!!!

Very entertaining game to watch, I love when Crosby loses his noddle. The chips in and pinning down the Penquins defence was working well. Gutsy game by Lundqvist and the Rangers D were tough along the boards. Game 7 is were the rubber meets the road..it will come down too who wants it the most.
