The Rangers are in what amounts to a must-win situation tonight, as they look to even the series at home. Alain Vigneault has been mum and a bit coy on the situation, but the Rangers appear to be getting Chris Kreider back tonight, which will inject some more life and speed into a lineup that sorely needs it.

Justin did an entire breakdown of this series, and it’s great reading if you haven’t done so already. The Rangers will need to get some legs under them, as they appeared gassed and completely unable to keep up with the fresher Penguins in the previous two games. They finally had an off day, so that should help

Don’t mess up my bracket. Win!!!

  2. Spozo says:

As per Kenny Albert. The last 3 teams to have a 30+ power play playoff drought each won the cup that year. I don’t know what that stat tells us buts it not over yet.

It indicates that anything can happen, for sure. But looking for these types of oddball streak trends to play out again is futile. Different teams, different circumstances.

It isn’t but Pittsburg is the better team. The Rangers should just play loose. Go out and win the 3rd perion.

The one time we go and hit everything in sight and mind you by Brassard line fans get excited, scoring chances and excitement….now instead of 1 minute let’s do it the entire game

  4. Rangers Fan in Boston says:

Wow. That shorthander was a bag of pathetic. Turnover bad enough. Mcdonagh coasting on the backcheck inexcusable.

Just laughable!!!!!!! Nash and St. Louis playing like 2 of the biggest stiffs this team ever had!!!!

  5. Chris. C says:

Stick a fork in Hank also. This game is horrible and sicking. Sad to say Milbury and JR is correct.

  6. Leatherneckinlv says:

When your third line is your best line and your 4th line the 2nd best…it is trouble

Nash with that dumb play on the shortie and I agree about McDonagh…play to the freaking whistle…

This team that showed up for the playoffs has been the worst Ranger team I have seen….in the playoffs. Just pathetic

Hank is no longer a top 5 goalie either. Something happened to him this year….mind you I think he is a good goalie but not clutch

This team is playing with no heart. It is pathetic.

Outclassed in every aspect of the game. Believe anything else and you’re kidding yourself. Friday might turn out to be more embarrassing than tonight; given the apparent lack of gonad activity with this group. Heard the boos at the end whenever Nash and MSL touched the puck. GOOD!!!! Maybe St.Louis will get so upset and offended, that he’ll demand another trade. As of 10:00pm 5/7/2014, this team seems light years away from any real challenge for the Cup. Just brutal!!!!

  9. Walt says:

I understand that last night, after that joke of a game, Nash called his country club for tee times. Any truth????? They say BR, and MSL where two other members of the foursome!!!!!!

  10. Gary says:

I have been positive on Nash and it looks like I was flat out wrong. I have been positive on this team, but the layers of the onion are peeling away and at the most critical, the inside is rotted.

I thought they had more guts than this, but to see the team have no response like this is disheartening. Penguins just took control with no response. We aren’t nearly good enough for this time of year.

Dubie, Prust, Artie, Cally… I really thought Sather had been doing okay, so I can’t revise history. But I was wrong. The team got gutted by 1-2 too many players with heart. They’ve got some nice pieces but the guys that hold firm in the most challenging times are not there anymore.

This sucks, and with an aging goalie making megabucks, I am afraid that they’ll give it the Tom Brady treatment and be looking to win in the closing window. The team’s time came and went. St. Louis, Nash, Stralman, Richards all need to go. But the scary thing is that the goalie is in his 30’s with a closing window.
