J.T. Miller returned to Hartford

The Rangers have returned forward J.T. Miller to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL. Miller was called up after the injury to Chris Kreider, going scoreless in the first two games following his call up. Miller was a healthy scratch the previous two games before his return to Hartford.

Better that jt miller is playing hockey in hartford then sitting in the pressbox. If he is needed down the stretch the rangers will want him game ready.

I’m sure many fans will be bitter over this but he’s still too much of a mystery without the puck. He seems to play well sometimes tho few and far between. He’s not consistent enough yet in the Rangers zone. He looks like a pro with the puck but in the NHL it’s 1/2 the battle. You need to play with 4 other skaters in the NHL and know where to be. I think he may get sent to Hartford after camp next year for 10 games before coming up full time. Same as Kreider last fall. McIlrath may need most if not all of next season to perfect his skating. Many teams leave their prospects on the farm team for 2 years before using them. Miller not ready yet. The chemistry on this team is good right now. Kreider may return at some point in the playoffs.

Maybe this is a sign that Kreider isn’t too far away?
Also I think AV likes having both Carcillo and Dorsett in the lineup since we seem destined to play te Flyers in round one. And after last nights game, they seemed pretty affective on that 4th line together.
