Rangers recall J.T. Miller

The Rangers have recalled forward J.T. Miller from the Hartford Wolf Pack. In six games with the Pack this year, Miller has a line of 5-1-6 with 6 PIMs and a +4 rating. Miller has spent most of his time with the Rangers this season, dressing for 15 games and a 1-1-2 line with a -4 rating and 8 PIMs.

With both Taylor Pyatt and Benoit Pouliot struggling, it is expected that Miller will be inserted into the lineup for one of them.

  1. Good move here!

Gound both of the useless turds, and play the kid!!

Like Sally said, hope he stays up this time for good!!

  2. If he is coming up to sit in the press box or to play 5 minutes a game leave him in Hartford ffs.

  3. Insert standard skeptism here:

I thought the Rangers should have kept Kreider in the AHL longer when they called him up. I was wrong.

I hope they’re not calling up J.T. Miller too soon here as well as it’s only been 6 games for him and he just wasn’t ready. I hope I am wrong this time too.

    • I think your skepticism is right on. He’s young and hasn’t shown much in 41 NHL games. The best thing for him is to play 20 mins a night in Hartford but he’s up now out of necessity. With the Pouliot disaster he’s needed. The problem is where?
Does anyone think Beach will be used as a RW in Hartford?

  4. I would like to see JT sense the urgency and play hard. He only has to look at what Kreider is doing if needs to know what to do.

  5. J.T. Will be just fine if you play him with NHL caliber linemates….not Pyatt and Boyle.

  6. AV finally realizing Pyatt and Pouliot have not been outplaying Miller. Better late than never.

  7. Pouliot has to go. I think he’s had enough time to show he belongs. Maybe some day he will but that time isn’t now and NY isn’t where he belongs. Waive him and go seperate ways. Someone will claim him.
