Jesper Fast returned to Hartford

Per Jim Cerny, the Rangers have returned winger Jesper Fast to the Hartford Wolfpack of the AHL. Fast has been with the Rangers since camp broke, and has skated in eight games so far this season without registering a point. I noted this afternoon that Fast was used primarily as a defensive player, but still managed to drive puck possession. With his demotion, it is all but a guarantee that Carl Hagelin will return tomorrow.

Quickie didn’t show a lot of offence, some quality time down in the iron league is needed for him to make the next step.

i understand this move from a development standpoint but from a team standpoint i think fast has been one of our more dependable players. so clearly management is thinking long term here bc short term prob wont mean much. (ouch)

List of currently healthy Rangers with more than one goal this season through 10 games: Brad Richards, …..

    Welcome back Carl!

The Rangers should have sent down Zuccarello instead of Fast!

Zuc is on the bubble. He tries and he offers a shoot out specialist (useless for post season), and his inconsistent offense is barely adequate. But he can’t play defense vs. NHL sized guys. He’d star in a league w/nobody over 5’8″ tops. He should be next AFTER

      Pyatt who should go now.

Don’t get me wrong Hags is better then Fast but Fast is well ahead of Zuccarello
