Traverse City: Baby Blueshirts drop to 0-3 in loss to Columbus

The Baby Rangers dropped to 0-3 in this year’s Traverse City Tournament, losing to the Columbus Blue Jackets by a score of 4-2. Goals were scored by Oscar Lindberg (5th of the tournament) and Josh Nicholls. Assists came from Danny Kristo and Connor Allen. Lindberg (5 G) and Kristo (1 , 4 A) are tied for 5th in the tournament in scoring. With the loss, it appears the Rangers are eliminated from competition, but I may have read the schedule incorrectly. The consolation and championship games are scheduled for tomorrow, but with their 0-2-1 record, it seems likely that the Rangers will not be participating.

The Rangers’ prospects continued to be a physical force, especially in the fight department, as defensemen Conor Allen and Troy Donnay had a scrap each, while forward Paxton Leroux picked up three — and a game misconduct. The 20-year-old forward has five fighting majors and 32 PIM in the tournament’s three games.
    KLARC WILSON had 7 PIM

I don’t care how the team does because it means nothing other than get a good look at the future, and the future looks bright. Lindberg is the real deal!! Yes I know it’s too early to call, but this kid has a way of getting open, and then closing the deal by scoring. His linemate Kristo looks impressive as well, and these kids could, I say could be in the line up this season.

We should change Slat’s name to Thief, because that was highway robbery with the deals that brought both of these kids to this organization!!!
