Brady Skjei’s Minnesota Golden Gophers were stunned by lowly Colorado College in the WCHA Final Five last night, losing by a score of 2-0. The loss eliminates the Gophers from the WCHA playoffs, and prevents Minnesota from getting an automatic bid to the Frozen Four. As the top team in the country, Minnesota will get an at-large bid, but they likely will not receive the top seed in the tournament. Interestingly enough, Skjei was a healthy scratch for the game.

The playoffs began for all Rangers prospects (aside from the AHL), so be sure to check their progress after the jump.
