Super Bowl Open Thread

It’s Super Bowl Sunday, so I hope you are all stuffing your faces with every kind of food imaginable. If you aren’t watching the game, then you really aren’t watching any sporting event. All hockey games end at 6pm, just in time for kick off.

Even if you don’t like football, I’d recommend watching the commercials. Discuss whatever.

Ok. I think that when Cally and Kreider return than i think the lines should go like this:
    Nash-Richards-Gaborik
    Pyatt-Stepan-Cally
    Hags-Boyle-Kreider
    Rupp/Bickel-Halpern-Asham/Ferriero

I think Ferriero will return to the minors where he can teach the youngesters, get more ice time, help the Whale get to the playoffs. No offence but there is no reason to scratch anyone on the lines except the 4th which means little playing time. Hags and Kreider are young and could play togeter for many years. Pyatt and Cally seem to be making plays whenever they are on the ice. Plus Pyatt controls the boards like Dubi did at LW on the 2nd line. Both are 2 way forwards. And really no reason to demote Pyatt. 1st line looks great and could stay the same for a few years.

This team will not survive with all of its scoring on one line. I have a feeling that once the rest of the players get back to where they need to be. That Torts will do whats right and spread them around a bit. He has too.
