Around the Farm: Lindberg continues torrid pace, nets game winner

February 1, 2013, by

Oscar Lindberg scored the game winner for Skelleftea last night in their 2-0 victory. The goal helped Lindberg continue his scoring pace, where he is still top-5 in the notoriously low-scoring SEL with a line of 15-20-35 in 44 games.

Lindberg is expected to come to the US after this SEL year is finished. Many already have him penciled into the Rangers lineup next Fall, although he may need a season in Connecticut to get used to the North American game.

Oscar wasn’t billed as a scorer when we traded for him, so this is becoming a blessing for us. He plays a sound two way game, and if he is as good as we all hope he is, then next season could be a make or break one for us.

Let’s also not forget that the Fasth kid should be coming over soon, there my friends is the answer from the other day, depth, we should have plenty with these two, and Miller. Wow!
