Ryan Callahan leaves game early with injury

January 29, 2013, by

If you weren’t watching the game, then you missed the big news that captain Ryan Callahan left the game in the third period with an apparent left shoulder injury. Following a scrum with Max Talbot, Cally headed straight to the locker room and pointed at his left shoulder. The scrum itself didn’t involve any punches, it just looks like it was tugged awkwardly by Talbot.

No word yet on the severity of the injury.

I was listening to the Radio and Maloney and Kenny Albert both said that it was Talbot who signaled to the Rangers bench that Callahan was hurt. That’s never a good sign.

Watching the game last night, my heart goes out to Callie. Hope all is well, and if not, he gets well soon!

That is the reason we have goons on teams, so our quality guys don’t hurt. Callie did what any captain, or good teammate would do, but again, leave that sort of crap to the goons.
