I received an email the other day, wondering why Mikhail Pashnin was never included in the ATF posts. To answer that, I don’t really believe that Pashnin will ever come to the US without a guaranteed NHL roster spot. Since the Rangers won’t do that, there’s a slim chance he will come over.
That said, Pashnin is still a solid defender and a good prospect for the Rangers. He’s not going to be the guy that lights the lamp, but he will be a shutdown, physical defenseman. There’s a reason why he was the first overall pick in the KHL draft a few years ago.
Check after the jump for an update on Pashnin and the other three prospects in action from last night.
