Shane McColgan continued his torrid scoring pace in the WHL, with a goal and an assist in Saskatoon’s 5-2 win over Vancouver. McColgan scored the Blades’ first goal of the game on the powerplay, and assisted on the second goal (both in the first period). McColgan now has a line of 6-17-23 in 21 games. But to put things in perspective, 23 points in 21 games doesn’t even get McColgan a spot in the top-20 in scoring in the WHL.

Across the country in Quebec, Sam Noreau notched a goal in Baie-Comeau’s 4-3 OT loss to Rimouski. Noreau’s powerplay tally was BAC’s second goal of the game.

Noreau and McColgan were the only two prospects in action last night.
