The Rangers 2012-2013 schedule has been released, and as a surprise to no one, the Rangers will open the season with an eight game road trip. It’s nice to see that the Rangers will be the team to watch the Kings raise their Stanley Cup banner. Maybe it will give them something to look forward to. After the LA trip, the Rangers make a quick stop in San Jose before coming back East for six games. The home opener is on November 1 against Dallas.

As for the game breakdown per month, the Rangers are again saddled with an incredibly dense March and April schedule. They will play 15 games in March and another seven in April leading into the playoffs. The good news there is that they will only be without Marian Gaborik for 30 games, as opposed to a possible 40 games.

The full schedule is after the jump.
