Series: Rangers lead 2-1

NYR Leading Scorer: Brad Richards (6-6-12)
NJD Leading Scorer:
Ilya Kovalchuk (6-7-13)

NYR Goaltender: Henrik Lundqvist (16 GS, 1.66 GAA, .940 SV%)
NJD Goaltender: Martin Brodeur (14 GS, 2.05 GAA, .920 SV%)

Rangers Lines:

Carl Hagelin-Brad Richards-Marian Gaborik
Chris Kreider-Derek Stepan-Ryan Callahan
Artem Anisimov-Brian Boyle-Mike Rupp
Ruslan Fedotenko-John Mitchell-Stu Bickel

Ryan McDonagh-Dan Girardi
Marc Staal-Anton Stralman
Michael Del Zotto-Steve Eminger

Henrik Lundqvist gets the start.

Probable Scratches/Injuries: Mike Sauer (concussion), Mats Zuccarello (wrist), Brandon Dubinsky (lower body), Brandon Prust (suspension), Jeff Woywitka (healthy), John Scott (healthy)

Preview: No Dubinsky or Prust tonight. Assuming Boyle and Cally are less than 100%. Those four are the top penalty killers on this club. Moral of the story: stay out of the box.

Crazy Thought: A two game lead, for once in these playoffs.

Headshots: There’s been a lot of chatter about the Devils getting away with headshots in this series, especially after Torts’ presser yesterday. Since the league refused to reviewed these hits, we thought we’d post them here and let you all review them yourselves.

Here’s Parise’s hit on MDZ.

And the hit on Stralman

  1. Mike says:

Rangers play like shit again. Hank is broken twice. Nobody wants 2-2 tie going to game 5, but now it looks like that.
    Let’s go Rangers!!! Torts sucks

    • Vince R says:

You still have not stated why torts sucks or what system you would use in place or what you would do different despite repeated requests calling you out. Now THAT sucks.

      • Chuck says:

It’s all Torts fault, Vince, you didn’t get the memo? We blame the guy who led them to the Conference Finals.

        • Vince R says:

Right, right, right…was just so upset after that game I forgot, thanks for the reminder Chuck? 🙂

Any word on fetching Avery’s skates out of the east river as he would have single handedly won that game?
