Brandon Prust receives 1 Game Suspension

According to Tom Gulitti¬†(Devils beat writer for The Record), Brandon Prust has received a 1 game suspension for his hit on Anton Volchenkov during yesterday’s game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals.

Once Shanaban posts his suspension video explaining his reasoning, we will be sure to link it here. To be honest, I expected a one game suspension out of this, so I am not really surprised. I guess we are fortunate Anton didn’t miss any time, otherwise this suspension could have been more severe.

Still, this offseason the NHL needs to come up with a more consistent game plan with headshots and suspensions. Everything shouldn’t be so weighted on injury time. More to come on that this summer…

Lets Go Rangers!

Volchenkov’s head was not even hit. His helmet was knocked off!…He even had the time to adjust his helmet back on his head as he “fell” to the ice. He did not miss a shift. One game suspension for a non-penalized action on ice for knocking someone’s helmet off?? Let’s get real!!!

If neither Dubi/Zucc can skate, Id imagine they double up on Eminger/Bickel. Not particularly productive – but neither would be Scott – or looking at the taxi squad list – Newbury.

dubi or zukes man shanny has turned out to be a real doucher and rangers hater it will be amazing if the rangers win the cup because there is a world wide conspiracy against the rangers and it has to do with torts and sather mr. gary buttman has to go

    Shanny sucks!

Volchenov took a great dive, I score it 9.5!

Selective punishment, Rangers always get it in the back end. I understand that Shanny got wise, and sent Torts a tube of KY jelly this morning, he didn’t want John to have any friction!

So, who fills the whole? Is Dubinsky ready to go? Does Bickel suit up at forward? Does an eligible callup from Hartford get a chance?

What’s the scoop, BSB? Any insights?

Snny has proven to be a real POS just like I knew he would once he put on a suit. He has let worse things then this go without a look.

If I was the Rangers I would sue him and the NHL. They have more then enough proof to do so.
