Preview: Another day, another game against the Islanders. These Islanders are never a pushover when it comes to facing the Rangers, and tonight will be no different. The Islanders have a lot of skill up front, that we know. It’s on defense and in net that they become questionable.

The Islanders are a lot like the teams that the Rangers lost to the last two games, they force turnovers and will be quick to capitalize. I can’t think of a goal against the Hawks or the Senators where there wasn’t a turnover involved. That can’t continue.

The Blueshirts have gotten away from their bread and butter: dump and chase and crashing the net. They are trying to be too fancy at the blue lines, and it’s creating chances for the opposition. Get the puck deep and outwork the opposition please. The Pens are now two points back…make it four tonight.

Crazy Thought: A powerplay goal? I’m leaving this one up until it happens.
