Eminger Activated Off IR, Likely To Play Today

Update 10:45am: Eminger will not be playing tonight. The Rangers have decided to keep Stu Bickel in the lineup.

Original Post: In some good injury news, Steve Eminger has been activated off injured reserve and is likely to play today, according to Katie Strang. Eminger has been out since December 17 against Phoenix, when he separated his shoulder. Prior to the injury, Eminger had been playing top-four minutes while paired with Michael Del Zotto.

Eminger will likely play at the expense of rookie Stu Bickel, who was limited to just ten shifts and six minutes of ice time in the Rangers 1-0 win over the Sabres.

Glad that Eminger is back, and healthy! Good move by Torts, play Stu today, against those filthy bastard children from Filthadelphia. No need to expose him to the rough stuff on the first game back.

The more I watch them, the more I hate that team, ownership, and that dirt bag coach!!!!!

I couldn’t get to post but I was thinking it would be nuts to skate Eminger instead of Bicks against the Flyers…We need all the toughness we can get against them…Torts read my mind and it paid off.

  3. Jess says:

Hey, no offense but can we give Tortorella some credit please? Tortorella will never be mistaken for Mr. Congeniality but he has been around the block a couple times.

A very good win for the boys and it was nice to see a win by more than one goal.
