Rangers Re-Sign Ruslan Fedotenko

Via Bob McKenzie, the Rangers have re-signed Ruslan Fedotenko to a one-year deal worth $1.4M. I wasn’t sure if he would be coming back after the Mike Rupp signing, but I like it. Contract seems very fair, if not a little light for Fedotenko given some of the nonsense contracts that were given out today.

Bullshit. We don’t have room for him. Would rather have Avery play instead of him. Now Avery is out of the picture.

Avery is not going anywhere bro. The Rangers are setting up competition in camp. It’s quite smart actually. Make everyone earn these spots.

I’m glad they signed Feds, and the terms seem right. The Rangers have a lot of depth now, guys who are familiar with each other’s style of play, and talented prospects ready to step in on a moments’ notice. If they can stay healthy (at least healthier than last year), they’ll have a great season, with or without Richards.
