  1. seems to have gotten market value, and perhaps slightly more because prospal’s injury gave him a stronger bargaining situation.

  2. I thought $1 million was what he should be getting, considering what the Rangers gave Prospal last season. If it’s more, it will be a slight overpayment.

  3. One year, one mil max I hope. Apparently other teams were interested in signing him if we passed.

  4. I’m a fan. Low risk, moderate reward, nothing wrong with depth. If he stinks, he’s easy to get rid of.

  5. Great pickup, especially for the money. Feds-Stepan-Avery will be a scary third line for many teams to face. The Rangers haven’t had this kind of depth in a while. And if anyone starts to slack off, or just needs a breather, Kennedy and even MZA will be waiting in the wings. Feds also adds insurance in case Prospal is out for a while. If he needs surgery, the Rangers only need to remove one body when Drury returns. They’ll probably send White down, where he’ll remain a callup if any centers get injured. If Feds continues to play as well during the season as he has in preseason, his signing will look like a steal.
