After two impressive wins in a row, the Rangers are back it, with someone new in goal.

OPPONENT: Thrashers

RECORD: 18-18-6

LEADING SCORER: Ilya Kolvachuk, 25-22-47

GOALIE: Johan Hedberg, 2.62 GAA and a .910 save percentage

RANGERS LINES:

Brandon Dubinsky-Erik Christensen-Marian Gaborik
Christopher Higgins-Chris Drury-Ryan Callahan
Sean Avery-Artem Anisimov-Ales Kotalik
Donald Brashear-Brian Boyle-Enver Lisin
Marc Staal-Dan Girardi
Michael Del Zotto-Michal Rozsival
Wade Redden-Matt Gilroy

Chad Johnson is in net. About time they gave Hank a rest.

STATE OF THE BLUESHIRTS: Pretty good. Two great wins in a row. Offense seems like it’s starting to come alive. They are playing really good hockey. As my cousin, who was at the game yesterday, said to me: “Last night was the best I’ve seen them look this year.” And my cousin knows hockey. Kotalik has scored two in a row. Avery played his best game in awhile. Gabby is Gabby. I think this game may come down to Chad Johnson. Atlanta, although struggling, has a pretty damn good offense. If Johnson makes the saves, the Blueshirts will pull out a win.

CRAZY THOUGHT: Johnson has a shut-out.

ON THE iPOD: Crips, Ratatat

FINAL PREDICTION: Rangers 3, Thrashers 2 (I know have a Johnson shutout as my crazy thought, but that really is a crazy thought. Thrashers will score)

So, watch, discuss, have fun. LET’S GO RANGERS!!!
