Lisin’s Contract: 1/$790K

In a bit of a surprise, the contract for the recently acquired/signed Enver Lisin is lower than his salary from last season. His contract for this season is an incredibly affordable $790,000, a $60,000 pay cut from last season. This is really interesting, because qualifying offers for RFAs making between $650K and $1 million mandates a 5% raise. The Lisin contract is roughly $200K less than I expected him to sign for.

This leaves the Rangers a little extra cash to throw at Dubinsky, who should be signed before the Zherdev hearing.

this is a nice bit of news. He can earn a raise during the year hopefully. I wonder what the expectations are for him. if he can score 13 goals in 48 games for a team that genuinely stank then he has a genuine chance of 20 here, assuming he toes the line.

Here’s hoping he can score 20+ because im fairly sure Zherdev isn’t coming back.

I have low expectations of him, I’ll be happy with 10-15 while playing on the third line.

i dont have much expectation because the of reviews and opinions differ so drastically. some say a offesnvie wonder,

some say he’s a trouble maker, some say he has defensive upside some say defensive liability….

if we get 15 goals i’ll be happy because for 790k its a nice contribution but if you believe some reports he can give alot more so its intruiging

he’s a huge x factor on this team
